Overview:

The Kyocera KPC680 is a lightweight and reliable broadband wireless access card designed for EV-DO Rev A. high speed cellular networks.

The KPC680 is a feature packed card and Kyocera even offer a range of accessories to compliment the product.

Format: The Kyocera KPC680 data card fits in any standard ExpressCard slot.

Technology: The KPC680 wireless internet card will work on high speed CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev A. networks. It can also be used on 1xEV-DO Rev 0 and 1xRTT networks at slower speeds.



Frequencies: The KPC680 ExpressCard supports dual band CDMA 800/1900 Mhz.

Rated Speeds: The KPC680 can handle a download speeds of 3.1Mbps and upload speeds of 1.8Mbps. This is the rating for 1xEV-DO Rev A. networks and will vary greatly.

Supported Laptop Operating Systems: Compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Vista. Will also work with Mac OS X 10.3.2 or higher but you will need to check with your service provider to be sure.

Antenna: Features a flip-up antenna and dual ports to hook up external antenna for optimum reception.

Warranty: Kyocera offers limited 1 year against defects in material and workmanship for its products.

Additional Information: The Kyocera KPC680 data card has on board support for SMS. Kyocera also offer and range of accessories for the KPC680. They have a ExpressCard to USB adapters and ExpressCard to PC Card adapters as well as replacement and external antennas and antenna adapters. Versions of the Kyocera are available from Alltel, Unicel, US Cellular and Verizon.
